Every person has heard the phrase “mind over matter”, but how many people actually align their actions/decisions in life with that statement? Not a whole lot. If you look around, many people prioritize buying “things” over experiences, prioritize their possessions over their lessons, and ultimately prioritize their material wealth over their internal wealth.
These people are short-sighted in my opinion. Because though matter and money is worthwhile, it’s not worthwhile enough to take a backseat to one’s actual mind and mental wellness. Those things matter more in the long run. Those things are what we will cherish in the long run. Those things live on.
Brian, I come from a background of keeping “things” for the next generation. I’ve already lost/misplaced some that were very important to me. However I agree with what you say. I often wonder what will become of the written poems and articles I’ve done, as opposed to physical items.
That makes perfect sense, thanks for sharing
Certainly an important message on Black Friday!
